Improving commons.acquia.com, community and content!
Marc O'Brien (VP & General Manager of Social Business Software) and myself, Lisa Rex (Usability Specialist) have been discussing ways to improve commons.acquia.com.
What's been done so far?
-
A poll was conducted to see what groups people wanted on this site. The top responses were "Place to provide and get support from the Commons community" and "Place to share Commons success stories". To that end, we've renamed Customizing Commons group to Community-based support for Commons software.
-
The former Q&A group has been repurposed into Commons.acquia.com community Q&A, this group. Use this group to discuss the community and site features of commons.acquia.com.
-
Flags to Help Keep Our Content Tidy! All page on the site have options under the 'Subscribe to' link. If you see anything that is in the wrong group, click "Flag as misfiled in the wrong group" and if anything looks redundant, outdated or trivial (essentially, content that provides little to no value), click "Flag as ROT". We will periodically clean up content in order to keep commons.acquia.com as useful as possible.

What's next?
We'll be continuing to make imcremental improvements to the site and to the community experience.

Thanks Lisa & Marc for giving this site some attention!
Great to see this site isn't dead
It had seemed like acquia was essentially killing off this site. Its nice to see an effort to revitalize it.
