Drupal & Commons making a difference in the world

I was chatting with the team at Halabol in India. I have spent a lot of time over the past 5 years in India and the rate of change is astounding, Drupal Commons is playing a part. Halabol has deployed a Drupal Commons site for social action in India. You can set up campaigns, petitions, pledges , debates and promote social changing events. It is a Commons site and has included rewards/gamification. You can redeem activity points with socially considered rewards.

Commons 2.5 released with UX improvements and Question & Answers

The Commons team has released Commons 2.5 today. This is a significant release for a number of reasons, including some significant UX improvments. We also added Question & Answer functionality which is very important for both internal and external communities. There was a significant UX focus on this release with usability testing being very helpful. Commons 2.5 Released

Commons 2.5 is now available and contains security updates to Drupal core as well as enhancements to the site homepage, group landing pages, and a new Question + Answers feature.

Commons 6.x-2.4 Released

Commons 2.4 is now available for download Commons 2.2 includes a wide range of enhancements as well as fixes to security issues identified by the Drupal.org Security team. Upgrading is strongly recommended.

The year is winding down and it was such a great year for Drupal! This was my first year with Acquia however it was not my first with Drupal. I worked with Drupal at OpenProj back in 2007 – it was a very active site with downloads exceeding 2 million.

How to grant access to view blocked user's profiles to anonymous or regular users?

I have a social website where users can block their own account, but never delete it. I would like blocked users profile remain available, but indicating now that user is no longer active. As only system user (uid:1) can access blocked users profiles, the only manner I think to do so is using views?, or there a way to allow access to blocked user's profiles?

janrain authentification trouble

I have a trouble form janrain module.
I don't know how had this problem. I have checked this problem on the
new commons and well done.
May be this problem related with already installed modules?
