Activity Stream for a group should show all updates in the group and User Activity updates

Hi,

    We are trying to figure out what is the best way to have all activity updates to show up on the stream page of the group? It seems it is showing random updates of just people joining groups and new discussion threads.

Also, what kind of activty show up in a users stream? Is it just stuff from the users he is following? Is there a way to show all activity show up in a users stream based on all the groups he is following?
