Adding the filedepot module to the DC release plan

This is a bit of a biased request since I am the developer of the filedepot module but I would really like to see filedepot included in next DC release or future release.

For those not familiar with filedepot, it's a native Drupal module (well more like a full application) for document management. It can handle any kind of file but it's primary use case is for a shared document repository. It already has OG integration and folder (nodes) are assigned permissions for view, upload, upload with moderation, admin rights per OG, Role or user and any combination of permission assignments can defined. The UI has a google docs like feel and has bookmarking (favorites) and tagging builtin as well as the ability to replace / add new file versions.

The module today, installs just fine in DC but there's more integration and refinement that I am presently in the process of completing.

Jay and I have had a few conversions on Filedepot and he's given me a number of suggestions that I've taken to heart and in the process of completing. The first is to make filedepot aware of the group context. The plan is for filedepot to create a new top level 'Root' folder when a new group is greated and the group admin's can then create any number of subfolders and setup more selective permissions as needed. When a user accesses filedepot from a group context, they will only see the folders relative to the Group's Root Folder. Even if they are a member of other groups that have folder view permission -- presently filedepot will show all folders that you have view access to. Quite a few changes are needed to be group context aware but I am making good progress.

There are a few  other items that Jay and I felt were key but the effort is much smaller for these. A few of the larger future ideas include:

• A new multifile uploader with Drag&Drop feature but requires jQuery 1.42+ . Work has been done on this and it may soon be released as an option for the module. Will need to wait until a newer version of jQuery is supported for it to be included in a DC release.
• Replace the dependancy on YUI and replace the layout manager and dialog presentation with jQuery - work has been done on this but there is also a dependancy on jQuery 1.4+. 
• Jay has also noted that integration with Solar and the site search would be a nice to have.

What is the interest level, concerns, questions or suggestions on including filedepot in DC?
