Commons 2.0 = Drupal 7?

Since nothing has been written about it, I guess that Commons 2.0 still is on Drupal 6, but could anyone verify this? Or will Commons 2.0 be the leap to Drupal 7?

I thought Commons to was for Drupal 7... i'm sure I watched a video of it in action using Drupal 7. Would be good to have some clarification.

...because if it is Drupal 7, I guess the upgrade path would be much more complex and steeper, than if it is Drupal 6. Just speculating though...

@joakimskog, it will initially be a drupal 6 release, with a drupal 7 port coming sometime thereafter... And to get you excited public beta will be released on Monday, July 25th.

Drupal 7 Module Status

I posted an update near the bottom.. modules are slowly but surely coming in line. Any help with porting some of the oustanding modules, would help towards a drupal 7 port of commons.
