Drupal Commons issue management, patch submittal, and technical details

In contrast to the discussions about new features, and ways of using Drupal Commons (happening here), there's a class of interaction that needs to happen around code.

So, if you have actual code issues, new functionality or bug fixes you want to submit (in the form of patches to the Commons Feature), please post those in the Commons project issue queue on drupal.org.

Pressflow with Commons?

Can pressflow be used with Drupal Commons?

Probably

We've got a couple of people running Pressflow as the core for Commons around here, but we haven't "officially" tested it.  It does work where installed, though.

Remember - Commons is an Install Profile.  So, you'll have to:

  • Install Commons
  • Untar Pressflow on top of your Commons install
  • Be prepared to navigate the differences over time, as we release new releases of Commons. (Which is mostly a Feature, so it shouldn't affect you much; but be forewarned.)
