Search page: loses structure when no results or only 1 result found

No "sort by" or "filter" block is shown when no results (or just 1 result) is found.
Better would be to show some other blocks when the resultset is empty (to keep the structure of the page more consistent); or to show the filter-block at the right side of the page.
This happens when no results are found:
ex. http://commons.acquia.com/search/apachesolr_search/unexistingword ==> not ok
But also when only 1 result is found:
ex. http://commons.acquia.com/search/apachesolr_search/alfresco%20two%20solu... ==> not ok

For me it makes perfect sense
For me it makes perfect sense to see no sort or filter when no results or just 1 result is shown, and I think the lay-out looks just fine. I think it's a matter of taste.
