Joomla is the top choice if you need the features Joomla is optimized for. Drupal is the top choice if you need the features Drupal is optimized for. Interestingly, a dump truck is idea for dumping stuff, while a sailboat is absolutely perfect for sailing. Furthermore, do not try to give a fish a bycycle no matter how perfect the bicycle may seem to be.
look.. normally I would reply like rliskey... each CMS has it's advantage and disadvangace and it really depends from the user case...
But unfortunatly to Joomla his core market has been virtually been eaten by Wordpress in the lower-side of website complexity spectrum and Drupal in the upper-side, so there is very little that I would suggest you to do with Joomla rather that Wordpress or Drupal nowaday.
Totally agree with this assessment. And done without the snarky-ness of rliskey.
I've always hated Joolma - and was more than happy when Wordpress matured.
If you have a couple of contributors, and don't need a lot of use for complex role based permissions, then QWordpress is fantastic. Very stable, very mature, huge contributing community.
Drupal is much better for more complex sites where there are many different Communities, contributors, and role based security. It takes more effort on both the user and the developer to use Drupal well.

My personal opinion of course..
Same here
I think Drupal is the way to go if you need something sophisticated. For a small company site Wordpress is ok.
True.
