That's a really sweet and full of an awesome time for me personally and my office colleagues to search your blog at the very least 3 times weekly to see the latest update you have got. We are gaining a lot of information through your blog
I've been utilizing both Content Profile (allows user profile information to be saved as a node so that you can search, present in views, etc.) and Signup with my DC 1.1 test site. I've also been running RSVP as well. We're currently trying to decide between Signup and RSVP though we may utlimately keep them both and allow individual groups to decide which best suits their needs.
Hi, the list of modules I use for my site is quite extencive, so I wanted to attach a file with the list, but since it's not possible, i list them here:
I marked more modules which I reckon are useful for everybody in italic
From this list I only have some issues with winliveid, visitorinfo and openid_selector, but I hope to sort them out, eventially.
I am going to try also chat modules (DrupalChat, Privatemsg, QTChat, Chat Room)
I am going to try more social network modules (twitter, facebook, linkedin)
I tried various admin modules and found that admin_menu is buggy, so I got rid off it. Admin and Navigate modules look nice, but not much real fuctionality. I ended up creating a simple menu for the tasks I use most often.
I guess these days everybody prefers Mollom, so captcha, hidden_captcha, spam and spamspan are not needed.
If you see any overlap in my list or have any comments, feel free to reply
Hi wolfflow, I kind of expected this reply and I understand your point and I agree that this is probably not the best format. But.
I've spent a lot of time choosing these modules as Drupal is a pain to find a good module suitable for your task. You have to try 3-5 modules and compare and find cons and pros. I am more than happy to help others to avoid this pain as much as possible.
I listed here about 100 modules I found to be good and I can't describe each one. But I don't agree that "even only 1 statement of use of a MODULE is useless".
Because if I saw this kind of list before, I wouldn't need to waste time choosing between prepopulate, URL Fill, nodeformdefaults, etc.
Or wysiwyg_imageupload, image picker, image attach, inline, etc.
But I am happy to share my experience (painfull) and answer any questions about any prticular module if anybody considers to use it with DC.
Because I am not really an expert in Drupal and DC I didn't want to make any suggestions here, just shared my experience. Because I could be wrong.
My point was just to list the modules I tested with DC as I saw many questios about that. But if more 'experts' are interested in some modules out of 100 I listed here, I will add them to your WIKI page.
The scope of the WIKI is to have a quick reference to existing user reports about the module they successfully installed on A Drupal Commons Installation. As I see you made a Blog Post about your project, but is useless to have a list of modules with mostly do not have an extent user report to consult in this community. You may agree that reading throughout your module list in this thread (ny Wiki) and not finding any reference to that module is really time wasting and annoying. This is why I have started this WIKI with the scope to find quickly documentation resources that have bee contributed here to commons community and do not have to search further on Drupal.org or other place.
You are free to post reports about one module, nobody is awaiting or asking you to make a full report about your site used modules. Anyway feel free to do what ever you like I just have tried to give suggestion for this WIKI and to ask people to avoid commenting about modules that have no single reports in this Group or in the entire Community.
This make this WIKI dirty and with the time useless.
Please pardon all my single post to each of you that have add a comment. Pardon me also for editing this comment in bold style, but I need your ATTENTION.
The scope of the WIKI Post above is to build a quick reference to any additional MODULES out of the DRUPAL COMMONS INSTALL BOX that YOU
have tested BUT ALSO other MODULES that you may have find exist a post HERE on COMMONS COMMUNITY with a report to explain pro and contra and installation and configuration items
that will help other newbie to get a bit of help and documentation.
SO PLEASE modify / redit your comment add a link to the POST or to any other documentation source that contain a helpfull report post.

tested homebox + realname +
tested homebox + realname + internationalisation (several modules quite tricky)
RVSP module
I tested the RVSP module in Commons, it works really well out of the box, could be a good idea to include this into 1.2

Thanks for your comments and suggestions
Hi All, please if you want to contribute to this informative Wiki Page that I will from time to time try to update, provide me with link to post
that I can add in the Table so newbies on Drupal Commons can join discussion more easily. Thanks
Tested OG Sub groups and Privatemsg
Both modules works without problems.

Backup & migrate?
Has anyone checked to see if backup and migrate integrates well? It could become part of an easier upgrade process, no?
So far so good
I have used backup & migrate to move between test and production DC sites successfully, as far as I can tell.
